Hey you, It’s Sunday, December 28—and this week felt like one of those rare, slow, soul-filling pauses that you don’t want to rush through. Christmas landed softly in our house this year. Cozy. Full. Loud in the best ways. Ledger was absolutely spoiled by friends and family, and we hosted Christmas at home with friends. The energy was calm, loving, and just… easy. Everyone participated. Katie went above and beyond—she cooked, she brought gifts, and yes, she showed up with Wagyu steaks that melted in your mouth. No pressure or anything… except I had to grill them without messing them up. Terrifying? Yes. Nailed it? Also yes. Very proud of that one. What stuck with me most wasn’t the food or the gifts—it was the effort. The care. The thoughtfulness. An aunt mailing homemade goodies. Friends and family thinking of Ledger. That kind of love makes you feel grounded and present in a way nothing else really does. Headspace matters more than discipline. I was supposed to run 15 miles on Saturday. I didn’t. Not because I was lazy—but because I wasn’t in the right mental space. Running is hard. And it’s something I want to get better at. But forcing it when your head isn’t there only builds resistance. So I made the call to push it to Sunday. I prepped. Fueled intentionally. Asked ChatGPT what to eat (because of course). And when Sunday came, I showed up. That run reminded me that sometimes the strongest move isn’t pushing harder—it’s waiting until you’re aligned enough to move forward with intention. Celebrate Your Wins
Progress still counts when it’s imperfect. Productivity / Mindset Hack of the Week The “Minimum Viable Routine” works. Some days my Miracle Morning was 30 minutes. Some days it was 3.5 minutes… in the bathroom… with headphones… while the house was already awake. Still counted. Still grounded me. Still mattered. Consistency doesn’t require intensity—it requires permission to adapt. What I’m Into This Week
Every week teaches you something if you’re paying attention. One Last Thing As we head into the final stretch of the year, I’m shifting into reflection mode—closing out my 2025 journal, doing my year-in-review, and setting the foundation for 2026. I’m excited. Motivated. Curious. And very aware that time and space don’t magically appear—you have to make them. I’ve been deep in research around content, messaging, and how I want to help people next year —because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: You don’t need to overhaul your life. You just need one intentional step—and then another. Wherever this finds you—resting, reflecting, or gearing up for what’s next—I hope you give yourself credit for how far you’ve come this year. Presence is progress. And you’re allowed to move forward at your own pace. Let’s reset and head into this next week grounded, grateful, and ready. Merry Christmas and Happy Freaking New Year! P.S. Hey you, January came in hot. Like “testing every system you thought was solid” kind of hot. Flu. Ice storms. Daycare closures. Travel. Early mornings. A knee that decided to speak up at the worst possible time. And yet… here we are. Fourteen days out from my first marathon. Still standing. Still trying. Still adjusting. This week was less about crushing goals and more about staying regulated, present and committed, even when the plan kept changing. One Thing to Think About This Week Progress...
Hey you, I’m writing this one from a week that asked for a little extra preparation, a little more patience and a lot of mental uhh flexibility. The kind of week where you don’t force productivity, but you support yourself through it. Let’s get into it. One Thing to Think About This Week Preparation isn’t fear. It’s care. This week reminded me that being prepared doesn’t mean you’re panicking, it means you’re paying attention. Whether it’s researching generators (cuz we did that), worrying...
Hey you, This week was a reminder that life doesn’t always follow the plan we set on January 1st. Sometimes you’re ready to go hard… and instead, you’re forced to slow way down. And least, that’s exactly what happened over here. One Thing to Think About This Week I had one of those quiet realizations while dropping Ledger off at daycare. The teachers were so excited to see him again after winter break. He was excited. And I realized, getting out of the house in the morning matters way more...
