You Will Never Be This Young Again

Hey you,

Ever have one of those weeks that just shifts your perspective? That was this week for me. Between crushing a presentation, solo-parenting while Madison’s in Mexico City, and journaling mid-toilet break (don’t judge me—it’s where the best thoughts happen), I realized something huge:

We don’t get this version of our life back. This version of our body. This version of our relationships.

And if that doesn’t light a fire under you to live intentionally… I don’t know what will.

One Thing to Think About This Week

You will not be getting younger.

You will not be getting this day again.

So take advantage of your functionality, your friendships, your freedom—whatever version of you exists right now.

We all have seasons that shift. Friendships evolve. Jobs change. Babies grow up. Even dogs get older. Instead of fighting that, what if we appreciated it in real time? What if you treated your current moment like it’s the good old days you’ll one day miss?

That’s the energy I’m carrying into this next week—gratitude and urgency all at once.

Celebrate Your Wins

  • I crushed my Dallas presentation! I was nervous, underslept, but I stuck with my morning routine and it went incredibly well.
  • I got to spend solo time with Ledger, tackling house projects and making it fun (because everything’s a team event when you’re a toddler parent).
  • I had a productive work month reflection, reviewing all we accomplished and what’s next. I love that we do this as a team—and it reminded me how powerful monthly reflection can be in our personal lives too.
  • Ledger completed swim lessons fully clothed. Watching my tiny human float like a champ = instant mom pride.

Productivity Hack of the Week

The Throwaway List

It’s the list where I brain-dump everything—from house chores to half-formed video ideas—and then sort what’s actually worth keeping.

It clears my mind and gives me clarity on what matters. Highly recommend if you ever feel mentally cluttered.

Bonus: it sparked my next YouTube idea—“The 7 Lists I Use to Stay Productive.” (Stay tuned for that one!)

What I’m Into This Week

  • Podcast: Colin & Samir talking about YouTube growth and why you shouldn’t overcomplicate creativity. Casey Neistat’s reminder hit hard: “Just because you can measure it doesn’t mean you should.”
  • Fitness App: Runna — still obsessed. It adjusted my plan after my solo 5K PR this week and keeps me laser-focused on my marathon prep.
  • App: Raindrop - A quick place to share all the things you want to keep but they're in 20 different apps. Raindrop will store it and then you can organize it appropriately. I save my recipes, challenge videos, ideas etc.

Life Snapshot

  • Madison jetted off to Mexico City, so Ledger and I are holding down the fort with dog duty, snacks, and teamwork.
  • I somehow spilled my coffee not once but twice on Friday. How does that even happen? In my car and on my desk. Wild.
  • Somehow our patio furniture is slowly falling apart, so I’ve moved things around to make the back yard feel homie and inviting (I think).

One Last Thing

Life happens fast.

Relationships shift.

Bodies age.

Energy fades.

So while you can—take the trip, make the video, sign up for the race, dance with your kid, clean your house with music blasting, call that friend you’ve been missing.

You’ll never be this young, this capable, or this alive again.

Fun P.S.

Ledger and I checked out a new spot in South Austin this weekend—total vibe. It had a café, tons of seating, a playground, and a few different restaurants. My favorite part? Every time I grab a drink, I always get L his own little cup with a lid and straw and fill it with water.

Does he spill it? Always.

Do I keep doing it anyway? Absolutely.

It’s the little rituals that make the memories (and the messes).

Closing

If you’ve been coasting lately—pause.

Reflect.

Ask yourself: What do I actually want to feel more of right now?

Then go do one thing that gets you closer to that feeling this week.

Until next Sunday—

Keep showing up and keep enjoying this. 🫶

Hey you, This week was a mixed bag of early mornings, toddler chaos, tiny notebooks, and big visualizations — and I loved it. It felt like the version of me I’ve been trying to step back into.
