Your Reminder That You’re Capable of More Than You Think

Hey you,

This week humbled me, restored me, pushed me, and reminded me that sometimes the smallest choices—like taking a loop around Lady Bird Lake—turn into the biggest breakthroughs.

Let’s get into it. 💛

One Thing to Think About This Week

On my 7-mile run—my longest ever without stopping—I caught myself doing that thing runners do: scanning my entire body like airport security.

Does my hip hurt?

What about my ankle?

Is that a cramp or drama?

Then Jesse Itzler’s voice popped into my head:

“No matter what you think or how you think you feel… always say: I feel outstanding.”

So I did.

Sometimes silently.

Sometimes out loud.

It worked.

The more I said it, the more I believed it.

The more present I became.

Dogs, trees, water, buildings, people in their own stories… suddenly I wasn’t surviving the run—I was living it.

Thought for the week:

Your mind is loud.

Your body is louder.

But your identity is the loudest of all.

So choose the identity you want to hear this week.

Celebrate Your Wins

  • A 7-mile PR: No stopping. No spiraling. Just me, fresh shoes, and a dusty finish line.
  • A full body battery comeback: Woke up at 32/100 one day… made choices… woke up near 100/100 the next. A win rooted in self-respect.
  • Staying present instead of pushing content: I skipped uploading last week. Instead of guilt? Growth. It felt good to choose life over hustle.
  • Better emotional regulation: Short fuse moments with toddler + dogs + life… and instead of losing it, I actually figured out what I needed.

Productivity Hack of the Week

Pausing to ask:

✨ *“What do I need right now?” ✨

This tiny question saved me all week.

From toddler tantrums to dog chaos to commute frustrations.

It turned nine-minute spirals into nine-second resets.

Pair it with a 5-minute guided meditation and suddenly emotions start behaving like well-trained dogs… instead of the actual dogs in my kitchen dragging crumbs around.

What I’m Into This Week

  • App/Tech: I tried Monarch after realizing my “budget” was basically a glorified bill tracker. Monarch humbled me QUICK. Amazon + subscriptions = chaos. Cancelled a few. Already feel lighter.
  • Snack: Chocolate-covered strawberries in bed next to Mads. Elite late-night decision.
  • Practice: Saying “I feel outstanding” mid-run. Silly. Effective. Kind of magical.

Life Snapshot

  • Personal Wins: Listening to myself, noticing how i’m feeling, helps me determine what I need next to move the needle
  • Family Moments: Going to a family friendly restaurant with friends and their kids was so much fun. Even though the entire time you’re only able to partially listen as the kids take over every conversation. It’s always a vibe though.
  • Real-Life Relatability: Sleeping terribly when you really needed rest, has it’s impacts on your future, but taking advantage of what my body and my watch are telling me, helps drive the next move and that’s exactly what I did to reset.

One Last Thing

(A nugget to wrap it up.)

This week reminded me:

When life feels heavy, you don’t always need a new plan.

Sometimes you just need a reset, a breath, a pause, or a mantra that pulls you back into your body.

If you catch yourself spiraling this week, ask:

“What do I need right now?”

… and go do that one thing.

Fun P.S.

We set up the Christmas tree. Already. I know…. It’s fine. It was awesome watching Madison get so excited and watching Ledger just fit right in and begin to “help” us set it all up.

Closing

If you liked today’s reset, share it with a friend who needs a little boost.

And hit reply: What’s one win you’re celebrating this week?
