Your Weekly Reset, Magic Moments + Morning Momentum

Hey you,

You ever have one of those weeks that felt like a blender of beauty, chaos, clarity, and a tiny human stabbing his food with a fork like it’s his job? Same.

Let’s get into this week’s Sunday Reset—the podcast is almost ready to drop again (!!!), the mornings have been… a journey, and we’re still chasing that good energy that fuels progress, not perfection.

One Thing to Think About This Week

This quote hit me like a barbell: “Be. Do. Have.”

Jim Fortin’s podcast reminded me how often we wait to have something—more time, more confidence, a better body—before we do the thing and become the person.

But what if we flipped that?

What if you decided to be the version of you that already has what you want, and then took action from there?

It’s been a mindset reset I didn’t know I needed. I’m working on being the type of person who shows up for herself—even after baby wake-ups, a week of travel, or a missed morning workout. Start with who you want to be. The rest will follow.

Celebrate Your Wins

I finally sat down and revisited the goals I set back in December—and whew, what a wild mix of “crushed it,” “forgot that existed,” and “who was that optimistic?”

But here’s the win: I actually enjoyed reviewing them.

I didn’t judge myself. I didn’t spiral.

I reflected, adjusted, and added new ones that match where I’m at now.

We evolve. Our goals should too.

If you haven’t looked at your goals since New Year’s, take this as your sign. Open the notebook. Dust off the planner. You might be further along than you think. If you want the Journal I use to help guide you through this, pick up a copy of the Purpose Planner here.

Productivity Hack of the Week

Having a workout program in place that you don’t have to think about? Game-changer.

On Thursday night, after a terrible night of sleep and a full day of toddler-wrangling and adulting, I opened the app, hit “Start,” and got moving.

No mental negotiation. Just hit play.

Tip: If it’s not scheduled or prepared ahead of time, it probably won’t happen. Automate your decisions when your motivation is low.

What I’m Into This Week

  • Book:The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg - This book breaks down habits into a simple loop: cue → routine → reward. Once you spot the loop, you can start rewiring it to swap out the bad habit with the good one.
  • App: Still loving the 90 Day Challenge app for workouts. Structure saves me.
  • Podcast: Jim Fortin’s “Be, Do, Have” series. Listen if you’re stuck waiting for permission to go after what you want.

Life Snapshot

  • Personal Wins: Getting back into the 4:35 a.m. club—even if jet lag tried to take me down.
  • Family Moments: Watching Ledger take wobbly steps, squeal, and stab everything with a fork? Top-tier entertainment.
  • Real-Life Relatability: Skipped a morning workout. Did it at night instead. Didn’t want to. Did it anyway. Felt better. That’s the stuff.

One Last Thing

Don’t let timelines trick you. The longer you give yourself to do something, the longer you’ll take.

You don’t need a 12-month plan to get moving. You need a decision.

What could happen if you just started?

Fun P.S.

We went to an Indian wedding this weekend and YES, we wore dope outfits.

YES, there were choreographed dances.

YES, we looked incredible.

YES, it was magical.

Here’s a pic because we looked like royalty.

Week in Review

Score: 8.5/10

What worked: Movement, mindset shifts, social connection.

What needs love: Sleep. Always sleep. And remembering that my roles don’t define me—they evolve with me.

Hey you, Let me paint the picture: it’s 4AM on Memorial Day, and I’m chugging electrolytes, double-checking my gear, and eating a simple breakfast.” It’s race day. But not just any race— It’s the CapTexTri Olympic Relay - I’m on the bike. It’s Memorial Day. And it’s the day we lost Papa John. I carried him with me that morning. Especially when the temp dropped a good 20° and started raining with some crazy wind gusts. I was like, “is this you? Are you messing with me? Bring it. Let’s do...

Hey you, This week reminded me that life is one big experiment—and we’re all just tweaking the formula as we go. Between late-night Limitless episodes, toddler-led Target trips, and prepping for my first triathlon relay, I found myself thinking a lot about capacity. Physical, mental, emotional. What we’re capable of… and how often we underestimate it. Let’s reset. One Thing to Think About This Week Are you pausing with purpose or just pushing through the noise? I caught myself mid-scroll the...

Hey you, Another week in the books—and this one was a trip. We’re talking Mother’s Day chaos (spoiler: I forgot a gift), podcast comebacks, tech meltdowns, editing marathons, a gorgeous wedding, and Ledger clapping his way through lullabies. And somehow, we still made it to the food truck park, sushi spot, and playground before the week was over. Let’s hit reset together. One Thing to Think About This Week Are you actually trying—or just going through the reps? This slapped me mid-workout....
