He gagged on the carrot cake. (And other bday week confessions.)

Hey you,

This week was a full-blown sprint of emotions, party planning, and a whole lot of presence.

Ledger turned ONE. Which still blows my mind.

We hosted his birthday party, saw family roll into town, laughed, cried (okay, I cried giving the speech), and even managed to sneak in a few workouts and loads of journaling.

I stayed present. Not perfectly, but on purpose.

I caught myself burning my finger making dinner—realizing most accidents happen when we stop being present.

I steeped tea more slowly.

I reread the lyrics to Your Ways Better by Forrest Frank on repeat because I wanted to feel them.

And you know what helped me keep it all together this week? TickTick.

From pool cleaning to party prepping to putting toys together at 11pm, TickTick was the only way I didn’t completely spiral.

I’ll be dropping a vlog this week that shows exactly how it went down—Ledger’s birthday party, the chaos behind the scenes, and how I used TickTick to keep it all straight.

One Thing to Think About This Week

When you’re overwhelmed, you’re usually overdue for presence.

Try steeping your tea a little slower today.

Celebrate Your Wins

  • Gave Ledger a beautiful birthday party (and a speech that made me cry).
  • Multiple PRs (simply by actually putting effort into the movements and going for it —yes, at 8pm.
  • Got my content day back and tackled a huge list.

Productivity Hack of the Week

Use TickTick as a party planner—it’s not just a to-do list.

Tag categories like “home,” “family,” “pool,” and “work” to keep your brain from cluttering. Bonus: You can set recurring tasks for stuff like filter cleaning.

What I’m Into This Week

One Last Thing

Ledger gagged on the carrot birthday cake. He was not impressed.

But he did love the attention, the toys, and all the people who love him.

Fun P.S.

I vlogged it all.

YouTube video of Ledger’s birthday week (and how TickTick saved my life) drops soon.

Hey you, Let me paint the picture: it’s 4AM on Memorial Day, and I’m chugging electrolytes, double-checking my gear, and eating a simple breakfast.” It’s race day. But not just any race— It’s the CapTexTri Olympic Relay - I’m on the bike. It’s Memorial Day. And it’s the day we lost Papa John. I carried him with me that morning. Especially when the temp dropped a good 20° and started raining with some crazy wind gusts. I was like, “is this you? Are you messing with me? Bring it. Let’s do...

Hey you, This week reminded me that life is one big experiment—and we’re all just tweaking the formula as we go. Between late-night Limitless episodes, toddler-led Target trips, and prepping for my first triathlon relay, I found myself thinking a lot about capacity. Physical, mental, emotional. What we’re capable of… and how often we underestimate it. Let’s reset. One Thing to Think About This Week Are you pausing with purpose or just pushing through the noise? I caught myself mid-scroll the...

Hey you, Another week in the books—and this one was a trip. We’re talking Mother’s Day chaos (spoiler: I forgot a gift), podcast comebacks, tech meltdowns, editing marathons, a gorgeous wedding, and Ledger clapping his way through lullabies. And somehow, we still made it to the food truck park, sushi spot, and playground before the week was over. Let’s hit reset together. One Thing to Think About This Week Are you actually trying—or just going through the reps? This slapped me mid-workout....
