Hey you, This week was a full-blown rollercoaster of toddler triumphs, road trip chaos, family magic, and a pool-day detox we didn’t know we needed. There were high-fives that almost happened, coughs that overstayed their welcome, sugar-induced regret, and a homemade DEKA style workout that reminded me—I can still crush it when I make space to move. Let’s reset, shall we? Confidence doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it’s quiet courage in disguise. Watching Ledger step into independence this week—from trying every station at gymnastics to handling a new environment with curiosity and trust—made me realize how gently growth can show up. He cried. He fell. He got back up. Because growth is happening anyway. Sometimes confidence is just trying again. Sometimes growth is just sitting in the room. Celebrate Your Wins
Use what you’ve got. Get what you need. No gym? No problem. I was on vacation, away from my usual setup, but still wanted to move my body and feel good. So I grabbed what was available and did the most 2025 thing possible: I opened ChatGPT and said, “Hey, make me a DEKA-style workout using this gear. I want to sweat in 30 minutes.” And it delivered. Crushed it. All the sweat. Sometimes we overthink how much we need before we start. But progress? Progress is built with what’s already in reach. What I’m Into This Week
One Last Thing We talk a lot about presence… but, Presence isn’t always peaceful. Sometimes it’s noisy, sticky, sweaty, frustrating, hilarious, and so worth it. It’s high-fiving your toddler in a circle and them looking away because they’re shy. It’s workouts in a hot garage with minimal equipment. It’s missing the fireworks but catching the giggles. That’s presence too. Ledger hit the neighbor’s trampoline this week and ran across it like the bionic man—arms flailing, full speed, pure joy. His cousin “bounced” with him, all calm and careful, while Ledger lit up like it was the best moment of his life. Total glow-up. Total core memory. This week reminded me: progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s just being present, laughing with family, or watching your kid go full superhero on a trampoline. You’re doing better than you think. If this made you smile, send it to a friend—or hit reply and tell me your favorite moment this week. I’d love to hear it (seriously, I would). Trina P.P.S. Want more? Hey you, This week was heavy in the best way. Competing in DEKA Fit, watching Alex Bradley walk across the country, and feeling Papa John’s presence in our home—all reminded me: sometimes showing up feels like surrender, but it’s actually strength. One Thing to Think About This Week What does surrender mean to you? In DEKA Fit, my mind spun: why’d I sign up, this is dumb, halfway is too far… but by the end, I felt proud, strong, and grateful for my team. Then I watched the BPN Documentary:...
Hey you, This week was a mix of ordinary routines and big reminders. Mom and Kevin left Monday, and it was back to business as usual. Ledger had his 15-month appointment — still in the 90th percentile, still growing like a champ. Watching him learn is like playing Mario Brothers: level up, try the new thing, and occasionally need a distraction before the tantrum boss battle. That got me thinking… maybe that’s all life really is. Distractions, little to-dos, leveling up, and remembering the...
Hey you, This week was about presence. My mom and stepdad Kevin came into town for my mom’s birthday, and we kept it simple: family time, good food, pool hangs, and a lot of being where our feet were. No big agendas, just slowing down and enjoying life together. Phones down. More living, less scrolling. That was the goal. One Thing to Think About This Week If you’re not here, you’re there. We all know how easy it is to drift out of the moment, but this weekend we tried to really make a point...
