Remembering What Matters Most

Hey you,

Man… how fragile and unpredictable life is. News of big names passing—like Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne—makes you pause and think: if my time came tomorrow, would I feel like I spent it on what mattered most?

And funny enough, that thought connected right back to our week at home. We weren’t doing anything flashy—just cleaning the garage, pulling weeds, breaking down recycling, and hanging out as a family in the driveway. Ledger loves a task, so he was in full force, game mode. It made me realize: this is what matters. Not the perfectly put together backyard. Not the endless nitpicking of what needs fixing. Just being together.

Because in the end, it’s the people, the moments, and the memories—not the checklists—that make the time we have worth it.

One Thing to Think About This Week

Life is short, and the little things add up. One of the best ways to make change stick is through habit stacking—attaching a new action to something you already do.

Brush your teeth? Take your vitamins.
Make coffee? Drop for 10 pushups. (okay but, you could though… 🙂 )
Drive to daycare/work? Send a quick voice note to someone you care about. Voice notes are a game changer and who doesn’t love a good voice note?

It’s not about cramming in more—it’s about making the moments you already have matter more.

Celebrate Your Wins

  • Slowed down enough to enjoy family time out front—cleaning and laughing together.
  • Recovered from being sick and eased back into movement. Enjoyed a workout with Ledger while he used his mini weights his Nana got him.
  • Put energy into realigning on what matters—and asking myself the question: what’s my why?

Productivity Hack of the Week

The Contact List Challenge: Scroll through your phone. If you see a name and think, “If they died today, I’d wish I had reached out,” then stop overthinking—send the text, make the call. You’ll never regret letting someone know you were thinking of them.

What I’m Into This Week

Life Snapshot

Instead of sitting in the backyard pointing out all the things that “need fixing,” we sat out front. We pulled the cars down the driveway, set up lawn chairs, grabbed some drinks. Ledger pulled weeds with Mads, moved trash bins, and “broke down” recycling by putting it in places it shouldn’t be. It was ordinary, it was imperfect, and it was exactly what filled our cups.

One Last Thing

Life is short. We don’t get to choose how much time we have, but we do get to choose how we spend it.

This week’s challenge: reach out to one person you’ve been meaning to. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Create it.

Fun P.S.

Mads did Happy Hour while Ledger and I stayed home and crushed a garage workout together. He had his mini weights and I had mine. He copied my moves and grunts, made up his own, and then out of nowhere grabbed my hand, walked inside, and asked for blueberries. So we had blueberries. He’s the real coach here.

Life moves fast, but you get to choose how you show up in it. Reset where you need to, stack habits that matter, and most importantly—spend time on the people and moments you won’t regret.

If this hit home, reply back and tell me: what habit are you stacking this week, and who are you reaching out to?

I’d love to hear.

Talk soon,
💛 Trina

Hey you, This week was heavy in the best way. Competing in DEKA Fit, watching Alex Bradley walk across the country, and feeling Papa John’s presence in our home—all reminded me: sometimes showing up feels like surrender, but it’s actually strength. One Thing to Think About This Week What does surrender mean to you? In DEKA Fit, my mind spun: why’d I sign up, this is dumb, halfway is too far… but by the end, I felt proud, strong, and grateful for my team. Then I watched the BPN Documentary:...

Hey you, This week was a mix of ordinary routines and big reminders. Mom and Kevin left Monday, and it was back to business as usual. Ledger had his 15-month appointment — still in the 90th percentile, still growing like a champ. Watching him learn is like playing Mario Brothers: level up, try the new thing, and occasionally need a distraction before the tantrum boss battle. That got me thinking… maybe that’s all life really is. Distractions, little to-dos, leveling up, and remembering the...

Hey you, This week was about presence. My mom and stepdad Kevin came into town for my mom’s birthday, and we kept it simple: family time, good food, pool hangs, and a lot of being where our feet were. No big agendas, just slowing down and enjoying life together. Phones down. More living, less scrolling. That was the goal. One Thing to Think About This Week If you’re not here, you’re there. We all know how easy it is to drift out of the moment, but this weekend we tried to really make a point...
